Mass Effect 3 New Ending

The game's executive producer Casey Hudson acknowledged in an online post that the chosen conclusion to the gripping science fiction action trilogy had generated 'a lot of discussion and debate,' but stood firm on the decision.' We always intended that the scale of the conflict and the underlying theme of sacrifice would lead to a bittersweet ending,' he explained in the studio's first and only response to the campaign,' on gamemaker BioWare's website forum.' I think BioWare are spinning shamelessly here.

  1. Mass Effect 3 New Ending

The ME games were marketed on the basis that in-game decisions significantly altered the ending and in the first 2 games that was true with multiple quite different endings. In ME3 there are 3 identical endings, in-game decisions make no difference. Thats what fans are upset about, not that the main character dies, but that their choices make no difference! BioWare have stuffed up badly here in the hope that fans will pay for online content and should just apologise for being bush leauge. StarGazer2011 - Shepard doesn't die in every ending. But the endings are still essentially the same.

  1. Mass Effect 3 Refusal Ending. Another Mass Effect 3 ending allows players to refuse all of the options presented to them, effectively allowing the Reapers to win. It’s a dark ending and a little out of character for Shepard, since the character is essentially giving up instead of finding a way to stop the Reapers.
  2. Happy Ending for Femshep & Kaidan Romances. This is a must have mod for Shenko fans! It basically replaces the endscene of Mass Effect with one that shows Kaidan carrying Shep out of the London rubble and then both of them appearing out of the Normandy on the jungle planet – yes, the timeline is a little off but who cares!

Even the cutscene videos are the same. All the choice in the game seems to boil down to whether you get a green explosion at the end, or a red explosion. Bioware marketed the game as not being the same 'Choose ending A,B,C' as other games, and then they pulled exactly that. At the very end you are presented with three options, and nothing that you did leading up to that point actually matters. It's like they wrote 90% of the game, and then at the last moment went 'Oh who cares, it's the final game in the series and people are going to buy it anyways.'

There are 8 different Endings for Mass Effect 3, but 7 of the 8 all have much in common. Changes in the ending sequence are based on two criteria: A choice you make in the final stretch of Mass.

This is a lie, of course, but it is one that makes people feel better. After the release of Mass Effect 3 (check out our full review ) we had the chance to sit down with the game’s director, Casey Hudson, to the growing dissatisfaction with the game. He stated, “I didn’t want the game to be forgettable, and even right down to the sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people–debating what the endings mean and what’s going to happen next, and what situation are the characters left in.”Well, the ending certainly hasn’t been forgettable. The complaints grew so loud that within two weeks of its release, BioWare that it would be releasing new content to supplement the ending.Earlier today, BioWare and EA announced that sometime this summer, it will release “Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut,” a free DLC, available on all systems, that will expand upon the ending.“We are all incredibly proud of Mass Effect 3 and the work done by Casey Hudson and team.
